We provide all types of shades and blinds for skylights and windows.
Many skylight manufacturers have shades that are designed for their own products. These are reasonably priced and easy to install. They are either cellular shades, pleated shades, light block shades or venetian blinds.
Custom shades are available for all other applications.
It is important that homeowners understand what they are asking for in a shade. We may need to inspect your skylight if you are trying to block heat. It is preferable to block heat before it gets into your home. We can do this with either changing the glazing or adding sunscreen on the exterior. In these cases you may not actually need a shade.
If you do need a custom shade please understand that they take a terrific beating from the sun and that the quality of the shade is very important. And as all of you know quality is not usually the lowest price shade. A typical custom shade for a 2x4 skylight will probably be in the $500.00 range.
